Hospitaller Youth
The Hospitaller Youth (JH) is a nationwide movement in Portugal, which brings together teenagers and young people, between 13 and 35 years old.
It was born on January 1, 1988, by the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God (OHSJD) and the Congregation of the Hospitaller Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (HSC), with young people whose experiences of help, dedication and service to others had marked their lives.
With participation in JH, the Young Hospitaller enters a path oriented towards Christian discipleship. This process of evangelization provides the means and instruments so that you can begin to know Jesus Christ and his Gospel until you reach the point of choosing Him as the only Lord and Master of your life.
-
We are called the Hospitaller
Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. -
This name defines our mission in the Church and for the world: the exercise of hospitable charity in the service and care of the sick.
-
By our charism we witness that the compassionate and merciful Christ of the Gospel remains alive.

-
Our Hospitaller Order of St. John of God is currently present in fifty countries on five continents, with about 400 apostolic works.
-
Having inherited the charism of hospitality, our mission, following the example of our founder, is to serve the sick and the suffering. With our way of living and acting, we manifest our spirituality.
-
In our view, dedication to those who suffer covers medical, clinical and social aspects.
